Alec Baldwin tried to get out of his contract for NBC’s “30 Rock” after tapes of him yelling at his 11-year-old daughter were leaked to TMZ.  He said he wanted to dedicate his time “to the issue of ‘parental alienation’”.  Baldwin said:

If I never acted again I couldn’t care less. 

Baldwin said he intended to take “three years or five years, it doesn’t matter,” and focus on the problem of divorced parents and their children. He has a book coming out about divorce litigation, possibly this fall.

He also said he didn’t want his actions negatively affecting the show or the people who work on it. 

The execs at NBC didn’t like that idea, so they refused his request.  So he’s stuck in a job that pays him truck loads of money.  My sympathies, Mr. Baldwin.

Kim Basinger is denying leaking the tapes to TMZ of ex-husband, Alec Baldwin, calling their daugher “a thoughless pig” among other things.  Basinger released this statement to Ok Magazine:

Kim did not release the voicemail. Additionally, the voicemail was not sealed under a court order.

Everybody is always asking why this custody battle has been going on for so many years and now they have the answer. The issue is not about Kim or the alleged alienation that Alec constantly refers to, it is about his ongoing aggressive behavior.

Kim’s sincerest wish is for him to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, a some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter. Until then, Kim will continue to protect and safeguard her child’s well-being as any parent would.

Who else would have had access to it then?  Things that make you go hmmm….

I’m sure Alec Baldwin is an unstable prick, but I bet my milk money that Kim Basinger is no angel either, and that she probably leaked it.

Alec Baldwin spoke out about the controversial recordings of him lashing out at his 11-year-old daughter, on his blog.  He writes:

Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child.  I’m sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case.

I’m sure Kim Basinger is probably a heinous bitch that is probably exacerbating the problems he has with his kid, but he really has no one to blame but himself.  No one should talk to their kid like that.  I’m just glad this guy is not my father.

I bet Ireland is so embarassed that 1. her dad was yelling at her like some kind of scumbag, and 2. now the whole world knows about it.

In other related news, Baldwin has filed a court order trying to determine:

how the tape got leaked and to determine whether actions should be taken again Kim Basinger, or her attorneys, or Harvey Levin (who runs TMZ.com) and anybody else associated with the leaking of the tape and the violation of the court orders to keep the proceedings closed.

It’s too late dude.  Just apologize and buy your daughter a pony.

Following the publication of Alec Baldwin’s tirade against his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, Baldwin’s rep. released this scathing statement to ExtraTV:

In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing…keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order. The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years.

I don’t think this helps the situation much.  He should’ve just not even sent this press release, because it makes him look worse.  Sure, he is probably pissed at Kim Basinger for sending the recording to media outlets (I mean who else would have had access to it?), but he fucked up in the first place.  Don’t talk to your kid like you’re Sonny Corleone and she’s Carlo.

TMZ has obtained a recording of a voicemail that Alec Baldwin left his 11-year-old daughter Ireland, with Kim Basinger. In the message, Baldwin tears into Ireland calling her a “thoughtless pig”. He also says:

Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone…you have insulted me for the last time. I don’t give a damn that you’re 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do.

This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother…and you do it to me constantly over and over again.

Hmm…I wonder how TMZ got this recording? After hearing the tapes, the Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson has temporarily suspended Baldwin’s visitation rights.

Someone should set this recording to a beat and make a song out of it.
