The state of California’s  franchise tax board has published it’s annual list of the top 250 people and corporations who don’t pay their taxes.  On the list this year are some familiar names and faces.  OJ Simpson owes the state $1.4 million in back taxes, but he’s got some other bigger fish to fry right about now.  Somehow I don’t think he’s too worried about his back taxes.

Other celebrities who made the list were Dionne Warwick and Sinbad who owe $2.6 million and $2.1 million respectively.  Dionne Warwick’s tax bill has been delinquent for over 10 years!  Check out the complete list here.

Don’t people go to jail for not paying their taxes?  Why aren’t Dionne Warwick and Sinbad in jail?  If the punishment for not paying over $2 million in taxes is just a little embarrassment on the internet, then shoot!  I’d rather save myself a few million dollars and the state can publish my name where ever it wants.

Well, maybe not on the sex offenders list.  That wouldn’t be good.
