This is pretty funny.  Some porn company is coming out with a new DVD called “Nappy Headed Ho’s”.  The film shows “girls with closely twisted or curled hair (the dictionary definition of ‘nappy’), who have sex for money (the dictionary definition of ‘ho’).”

As you may have heard, Don Imus was fired from his radio show for calling the Rutgers womens basketball team that term, and the films producers, Kick Ass Pictures, say they will donate $1 for each DVD sold to the Don Imus retirement fund.

And if Imus does not accept their donation, they say they will donate it to the United Negro College Fund.

Brilliant.

Former House Majority Leader, Tom Delay, made a post on his blog calling on conservatives to try to get Rosie O’donnell fired. The entry, titled “If the Left takes Imus, We’ll take Rosie”, says that “the left” wants to “destroy” Imus both politically and professionally. He also says:

The message of the ongoing Imus scandal is simple: Verbal offenses against anyone, other than conservatives or Christians or Jews, will be treated as crimes, and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are the judge and jury.

….where are the repercussions for Rosie O’Donnell’s hateful, idiotic accusations that President Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks? And her ignorant parody of the Chinese language? Or her comparison of conservative Christians to Islamo-fascist terrorists? Why has ABC not suspended her from The View? Why has she not been frog-marched up to some radio show to apologize to 9/11 victims/Chinese-American activists/evangelical Christians?

Delay goes on to urge conservatives to unite and take down Rosie O’donnell.

I kind of agree with him in the sense that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are complete hypocrites and have no right to judge anyone. Those who live in glass houses…

I’m kind of disgusted with myself right now.

CBS has just fired Don Imus for calling the Rutgers women’s basketball team “nappy-headed hoes.” Originally, Imus was given a two-week suspension without pay, but after several high profile sponsors such as GM and American Express dropped support from his show, and protests, CBS decided to cut ties with Imus.

CBS President Les Moonves says:

There has been much discussion of the effect language like this has on our young people, particularly young women of color trying to make their way in this society. That consideration has weighed most heavily on our minds as we made our decision.

Yesterday, MSNBC announced that it would no longer simulcast Imus’ program.

Damn! It’s like that? I never thought he’d get fired, but someone else will probably offer him a job. I think CBS did him a favor anyways. Dude is old and boring, he should’ve retired like 50 years ago.

MSNBC has announced that it will drop Don Imus’ radio program. The president of NBC news, Steve Capus released a statement saying:

Effective immediately, MSNBC will no longer simulcast the ‘Imus in the Morning’ radio program. What matters to us most is that the men and women of NBC Universal have confidence in the values we have set for this company. This is the only decision that makes that possible.

Imus is still nationally syndicated and this decision will not affect that, however several sponsors, such as Procter and Gamble, GM and American Express have pulled their support from his show. This guy should be off the air, not because of what he said (although it was a really stupid and shitty thing to say), but because he is boring as fuck. How can people even listen to him? I wonder how many accidents he’s caused by people falling asleep to his show while driving. Possibly MILLIONS!

Not really, but I wish that were the case, because he deserves a good beat down.  He recently called the women’s basketball team at Rutgers University “nappy headed hos”.  The remarks were made on his radio show while discussing the NCAA championship game with his producer Bernard McGurk.  The conversation went as follows:

That’s some rough girls from Rutgers,  Imus said. Man, they got tattoos …

Some hardcore hos, said McGurk.

That’s some nappy headed hos there, I’m going to tell you that, Imus said

He’s just mad those women are more manly than him.  I don’t understand how these people like Bill O’reilly can call for Rosie O’donnell to be fired, when jackasses like Don Imus get inducted into the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame.  He recently appologized for these remarks, but we all know he is still a douchebag.
