I don’t even know what is going on in these pictures, but I will say they are entertaining. At first I thought it was Orlando Bloom donning Borat’s famous thong-suit thingy, but turns out that it’s John Mayer. Who knew he got down like that. More pics at the source via ONTD.

At a Christmas party on Tuesday night, John Mayer was trying to get a little friendlier with Ricki Lake.  According to Page Six, Mayer headed towards Lake and chatted her up.

The two talked about Lake’s new documentary, The Business of Being Born, before Mayer confessed, “I’ve had a crush on you for two years.” Helpful publicists then herded the two to a back table, where they exchanged numbers. Lake soon left and went to the Rose Bar, where Mayer texted her throughout the night.

I remember Ricki Lake from her talk show in the 90’s. She taught me the meaning of such slang terms of the day as chicken head, pigeon, and scrub.  Ahh…good times, good times.  Also, I might be completely out of the loop, but isn’t Mayer dating that chick from Friday Night Lights?  And isn’t Ricki Lake married?

US Weekly is reporting that John Mayer and Cameron Diaz went on a date in NYC last night.  A source says:

They went out to several places…It was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town.

This was technically not their first time hanging out…they’ve hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It’s new and developing…but they really like each other and it went well.

If this is true, then John Mayer has shitty taste in women.  First Jessica Simpson and now Cameron Diaz; he certainly seems to like the ditzy blonde types.

Here’s John Mayer doing a little routine at a comedy club. He talks about being single, women songwriters, and other mildy funny stuff. I think he should stick to his day job, cause comedy is not his calling.

According to TMZ, the two have split, though no reasons have been given as to why.  I’m guessing her dad had something to do with it.  He does seem kind of creepy.  Or maybe she was just too ditzy and he got tired of telling her that buffalos don’t really have wings.

Anyways, maybe the split will catapult her back to her former glory, instead of this yucky orange thing she is now?  Wishful thinking?
